The Aadhaar Enabled Public Distribution System (AEPDS) is a system that uses Aadhaar, India's biometric identity system, to authenticate beneficiaries of the public distribution system (PDS). It helps in ensuring efficient delivery of food grains. Beneficiaries by using biometric authentication technology to verify identities at the point of sale. This system helps in reducing leakages and ensures that subsidies reach the intended recipients effectively.
AEPDS in MP also like PMGKAY (Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana) for wider food grain distribution.
The state government is continuously working to improve the reach and effectiveness of AEPDS.
